Pure Salt Port Adriano
An excellent adults-only marina hotel in southwest Mallorca — polished, quiet and well run, but off the family shortlist entirely.
A calm, adults-only marina hotel that gets the fundamentals right — comfort, quiet and genuinely good food.
“A beautiful hotel, but not one for the family holiday — save it for a break without the kids.”
- Calm marina setting with sea-view rooms
- Infinity pool overlooking the Mediterranean
- Well-equipped spa with sauna, steam, salt room and cold pool
- Attentive staff who remember preferences
- Adults only — unusable for a family holiday
- Smaller gym
- Quiet by design; little evening atmosphere on site
First Impressions
Pure Salt Port Adriano cannot be recommended for a holiday with two children because it is an adults-only hotel. Although its marina location, infinity pool and peaceful atmosphere may look appealing to parents, children would not be able to stay at the property. It should therefore be considered for a separate parents-only break rather than the main family holiday.
Location and Arrival
The hotel offers attentive luggage service, a seated check-in and large windows overlooking the marina. Guests receive local information and can enjoy a welcome drink immediately or return for it later, which gives the arrival a relaxed and flexible feel. The lobby connects directly with the restaurant, bar, pool and wellness areas, making the property simple to navigate.
The Room
Most rooms have balconies or terraces overlooking the sea. Superior Sea View Rooms are bright and comfortable, while Junior Suites provide more space, larger bathrooms, double vanities, bathtubs and rainfall showers. Some categories also include whirlpools or direct swim-up access. Pillow menus, nightly turndown and consistent housekeeping reinforce the hotel’s focus on quiet adult luxury.
Design and Style
The design is contemporary and restrained, built around sea views, natural light and calm materials rather than statement decoration.
Pools and Facilities
The infinity pool overlooks the marina and Mediterranean and is the centre of the day for most guests. There is also a smaller gym, a yoga area and access to bicycle, electric-bike and car-rental services.
Spa and Wellness
The spa includes a sauna, steam room, salt room, cold pool and treatment spaces. The atmosphere is intentionally peaceful and refined, and most guests spend their time between the pool, spa and marina.
Food and Drink
The main restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner, while an adjoining cocktail bar provides a setting for evening drinks. Breakfast includes pastries, cooked-to-order eggs, homemade yoghurt, sparkling wine, cured meats and Iberian ham.
Service
Staff are attentive and often remember guest preferences. They can also assist with car hire, transport and activities around the island.
The Neighbourhood
The hotel overlooks Port Adriano and the coastline of southwest Mallorca, offering a quieter alternative to Palma while remaining approximately 25 to 30 minutes from the city and airport by car. Restaurants line the marina below the hotel, and a complimentary shuttle transports guests between the property, beach and waterfront dining area.
Family Experience
This is where the hotel comes unstuck: it is adults only, so it would only work if the parents were travelling without the children. It could be saved for an anniversary, a short child-free break, or a separate stay before or after a larger family trip to Mallorca. Families travelling together would need a different hotel that accepts children and offers an appropriate family room or suite.
Value for Money
Good for an adults-only short break, particularly given the location and spa facilities.
Final Verdict
Pure Salt Port Adriano appears to be an excellent option for an adult break, but it should not be presented or booked as a family hotel. For mum, dad and two children, this is one to remove from the family shortlist and save for a future trip without the kids.
- 1
Take the welcome drink later rather than on arrival — you can settle in first.
- 2
Use the shuttle down to the marina restaurants in the evening.
- 3
Book a Junior Suite for the double vanity and larger bathroom.
Adults only — children cannot stay. A complimentary shuttle runs between the hotel, beach and marina.
